Our It’s Time campaign with St. Cloud State University showcases all of the ways the university is encouraging student success.
From creating a strong support network for students to emphasizing both classroom and real-world experiences, each installment of our campaign looks at a different element of the It’s Time initiative.
Our most recent edition takes a look at SCSU’s Herberger Business School. Students in the school partake in classes, study abroad opportunities, labs, internships and competitions as part of their degree. These experiences prepare students for the fast-paced business world they’ll enter into after they graduate, no matter their degree or career path.
For example, Dr. Myra Wang, associate professor of Marketing, incorporates real-world situations into her curriculum.
“I use a simulation where the students act as a sales manager,” she said. “They manage a team of five sales reps [and] make all the decisions about their basic salary, the commission rate, how much time to spend with them.”
