Challenge
The Science Museum of Minnesota wanted to establish themselves as thought leaders in the community and bring awareness to their research programs. They also wanted to make science more accessible and inclusive for everyone in the Twin Cities.
The campaign needed to demonstrate that science is an instrument to better our society, and that the Science Museum believes everyone should have a chance to learn the language of science.
Lastly, the Science Museum wanted Minnesotans to engage with them through attendance, memberships, and donations.
Solution
To increase awareness about the Science Museum of Minnesota’s work, we crafted Together We Discover, a content marketing campaign distributed through a sponsorship of Star Tribune’s Science and Health section, as well as StarTribune.com and social channels.
The campaign invited Minnesotans to collaborate in the research being done at the Museum. Each week, we introduced a different area of study at the Museum along with the researchers working on it. We then offered a related, at-home activity for readers to explore the topic themselves.
